Wilderthorn is the name given to the music and art of Jon Bilbrough.
Whether you have arrived here for stories about secret performances in abandoned, underground and historic spaces, folk-gatherings around a shared meal table, nights of movement, drums and rhythm or campfires in the forest... we invite you to come join the wild!
The latest live music Wilderthorn performance will be an IMMERSE performance at St Katherine's Chapel, Limehouse on 19th May!
This collection of tracks is a snapshot of what is on it’s way to becoming an albums' worth of full, expansive, meditative pieces of music, (soon to be released)!
Wilderthorn is currently premiering weekly video versions of the music as it evolves under the title

In any live performance we are always looking for those magic moments of connection.
The silence after an intimate song unplugged... the roar of shouts and applause during the rhythmic crash of cymbals... moments of wild, unplanned, improvisation or the images and thoughts evoked during the telling of story.
Gatherings are about opening up these points of connectedness further, moving beyond the ‘live-set’ and beyond the song, beyond a 'Spotify Playlist' and into something lived in and to be welcomed into. From nights of stillness (Immerse) right through to energy and movement (The Rhythm), each gathering is it's own regular event and each represents a different musical element of the Wilderthorn live experience.
See below for the full listing of our Gatherings dates and where to find them!
What started as a one off birthday party living room gig grew into a word-of-mouth tour of living rooms across the country!
